Meletha Everett is both artist and writer collecting the beauty in everyday life close at home or while traveling. The medias she works in are: watercolor, oil, acrylic, silkscreen, block print, and metal reposse’.

Education:
Texas Southmost College; Texas A & M at Laredo; Institute of Art, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and workshops in different medias with numerous well-known instructors.

She has written a workbook Cards Galore & More, Poetry Montage, an Anthology, both of these books are out of print. Recently she has written Color & More, a workbook on mixing colors, plus other important information in the medias of watercolor, acrylic and oil.

Meletha is the President of the Tampa Branch of the National League of American Pen Women, a professional organization comprised of artists, writers, and composers. She is also a past Florida State president of that organization and Florida State Secretary and National Election Chair. She is an active member of many art associations in the Tampa area including the Miniature Art Association of Florida, National Museum of Women in the Arts, is membership chair for the Greater Brandon Arts Council and is a member of the Cambridge, England Who’s Who Registry.

Meletha teaches an on going watercolor class at Center Place Fine Art & Civic Association in Brandon. She does demonstrations and workshops for art groups and also takes commission work.

She has exhibited in galleries in Arizona, Texas, Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, New Jersey, Washington, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida and Tasmania, Australia. Her paintings have been sold to businesses and collectors throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, Europe, and Jamaica.

Meletha enjoys working in different media both large and small. She works from both sketches and photos taken locally or on trips. She takes a number of workshops every year to enrich and stimulate her soul as an artist.
